School Counseling


Riverside has two counselors working to meet the needs of students.  Both counselors provide basic supportive counseling, consultation, and classroom guidance lessons, while placing a strong emphasis on maintaining confidentiality. However, each program serves a unique role in helping students become more successful.  For more information about the uniqueness of each program, click on one of the sections below.

School Counselor: Mrs. Julie Holloway
The school counselor is a licensed educator with a
 minimum of a master’s degree in school counseling, 
 and is employed by the Maury County School system.
 The school counselor works to help all students succeed educationally by designing, implementing, evaluating and enhancing a comprehensive school counseling program addressing student's academic, career and
personal/ social development needs.


The Project BASIC counselor is a Child Development Specialist employed by Centerstone with a primary goal
 of identifying students in need of mental health services.  She provides counseling and consultation services aimed at preventing, minimizing, or managing mental health problems in children at home and at school.
